SBMA Freeport

A Tavola
in the Royal Subic shopping area. Good authentic Italian food. Very best olive oil for dipping the fresh bread they serve before the meal.

Meat Plus
by the Freeport shopping center. Good steaks and burgers, not much on atmosphere though

Rally's Bar and grill by the Bay
A nice bay side restaurant and bay on the bay, not on the main strand. Good food but the service is rather slow, so don’t be in a hurry. Their catering service is much faster the food is just as good as the restaurant, and very reasonable.

Rama Majal
across from Freeport Shopping Center East Indian Food - very good. We eat here at least twice a month. They also have a small variety of Thai curries. The owners are very nice and convivial.

Light House Sands Restaurant
grills, seafood, and all-day dining restaurant 720 Bar - with nightly karaoke lovely open outdoor as well as indoor seating. Swimming pool and kiddie pool. Good food. They also have a very upscale rooms

Le Jardin At Mountain View Resort - West Kalayaan
Everything we have tried at Le Jardin was delicious. There is a piano player every night, setting the tone for the romantic candle lit atmosphere. The service, quality and presentation of food has been excellent the two times we have gone there. The servings, are on the modest side, and it’s on the high end of pricing for Subic Freeport. However, they have many specials and if you go during the day (or evening) and spend at least 350PH you may also use the swimming pool. The menu is European, American with Filipino dishes as well, which we have not yet tried, and the prices for those were not outrageous. It’s become one of my favorite places, and one of the few places to eat where I really feel pampered in Subic. The Carrot soup was the best I’ve had, and the mixed baby salad greens for the salads come from their own green houses on the property, a nice switch from the usual boring Iceberg lettuce salads served in most Subic Bay restaurants. The vinaigrette dressing was a little too sweet for my tastes, but nothing a little more balsamic vinegar and salt didn’t solve, which they brought to our table for no extra cost. The Rib Eye steak was cooked to perfection. Most dinners come with a soup or salad, and they have a bundled dinner that comes with a desert as well.

Barrio Barreto

Blue Rock Café
Baloy Beach area- open venue, right on the beach. Very good food, huge portions. They also have rooms, dive equipment, jet ski rentals. They serve an international menu, including Native Filipino food. Good sashimi, and raw oysters on the half shell. I easily get food poisoning from such fare, but have never had a problem eating at this restaurant.

Casa de la Mamma
Italian Food, a nice surprise, with european ambiance inside! Just off the National Highway in Barrio Barreto right next to Susuki Beach resort. In fact they border the drive way of that resort. Casa de la Mamma also has newly renovated rooms and beach access. A billiard table under a native canopy is going in soon for pool afficionados. Run by an Italian chap.

Friday's Sports Bar and Grill
Very enjoyable experience at Friday's, Dreamland shopping mall in Barrio Barreto. Very clean, great service. They also have rooms and a swimming pool. Lots of secure parking unlike the cramped parking for most of Barrio Barretto
